Mindfulness, Unconditional Love

 and Forgiveness with

Charles Allen Lingo Jr.

The Workshop

This workshop introduces participants to psychosynthesis, to ancient and contemporary, Eastern and Western, understanding of the human psyche, the Soul, and the practices of transforming one's own suffering and that of those closest to us. Particular emphases, upon the experience of mindfulness in daily activities, to the processes of forgiveness of others and oneself, and for the growth in awareness of being a force for love in society, are the directions this training will take.

What is Psychosynthesis?

Psychosynthesis is a holistic, educational and psycho-spiritual approach to human growth and development. The work of Italian psychiatrist Roberto Assaigioli MD (1888-1974) initially gave form to this practice.

It recognizes the higher functions of the psyche and demonstrates their importance in the emotional health and well being of people. There are practical methods for learning to align ourselves with our own deep sources of Love and Will, and gradually learn to discover our true direction, meaning and purpose in life.
Why unconditional Love and Forgiveness?

"Many teachings, both Eastern and Western, tell us that the purpose of life is to learn about love. Of all the possible experiences known to human beings love is the force which can unify what we are. It is cure for depression, loneliness and anxiety, a remedy for rage and isolation. It unleashes and liberates our creative powers and brings us freedom and peace of mind.

To take the risk of learning to love is not about trying to be more nice and loving. it is about our using our will to explore feelings and emotions, attitudes and beliefs and previous life experiences which shape our consciousness and inhibit our capacity to love. Through probing deeper into ourselves and embracing our obstacles we are led to the opportunity to choose to trust, to be honest and open, to be aware, to accept, to act, to forgive and to be free."
